After a recent storm that was really bad, my basement got flooded with water. It ruined a good bit of our personal belongings and many things that we wouldn't be able to replace. These were things we had saved over the years and also our exercise equipment was ruined.
My husband contacted our homeowner's insurance to see if we could file a claim for all the things we had in our basement. The exercise equipment was worth a good bit of money and they told him what they would cover. They also told us that we could hire a water damage repair company to help us clean up the mess and that it would be paid for by our insurance.
I started searching around for a water damage repair company in Knoxville to help. There were lots of issues from the water including mold and mildew that had built up in the basement. It needed to be cleaned correctly and thoroughly and the best way to do this was to hire a company that handles water damage.
I asked around to find out if anyone had experience hiring a water damage restoration company. Unfortunately, no one I asked had hired one of these companies. I decided to search online to see which companies were around and when I did that I was able to see reviews for them online. I called one of them that had great reviews and since the price didn't matter because the insurance was paying for it, I hired them.
They were over the next day and were able to eliminate the mold and mildew and fix the other damage the water caused. The insurance promptly paid the claim and we were able to get our basement back to normal and get new exercise equipment.
