How I Found Someone To Fix My Boat Dock

During the winter we leave our boat dock in the river. There have been a few winters that were mild and the docks were fine. This year, we had a bad winter and there was a good bit of ice on the river. This ice piled up against the boat dock and caused it some damage. It was laying crooked and one of the poles that goes in the ground to hold it in place was even messed up. I was looking for new boat docks in Lake Norman where i live, but decided to find someone to fix my boat dock and this is how I was able to do that.

I started by searching online for someone to help me fix my boat dock. I found a couple contractors that offered to do this, but they charged a good bit of money. I decided to take my search to social media to find someone to fix my boat dock for me. I had a friend of mine that does odd jobs that offered me a low price to fix it. He had worked on other boat docks in the past and had experience with it so I decided to hire him for the job.

He was able to get my dock straightened out and fixed for me. He got the metal rods placed back in the ground correctly and was able to straighten my dock out so it was in usable condition again. I was glad I found him and told him I would contact him again with any work I need to have done on boat docks or other odd jobs.
This year I am going to take my dock out when winter rolls around so I don't have this happen again. While it was cheap to fix, I don't want to cause any more damage to it or possibly lose the dock.
