Remodeling projects are quite a bit of fun. One significant home improvement project you can take on is the installation of granite and quartz countertops. They really stand out and make for a better kitchen, and they can be used in other areas too, such as in the bathroom.
One thing you can do to decrease their visibility is to select quartz that is a dark color. Again, either countertop is considered a luxurious upgrade, so it just depends on what you prefer.
When I first moved to the city I live in now, I had no idea about condo ownership or HOA associations. I am surrounded by consistent improvements and schedules, and they seem to be constantly updating things. It kind of puts pressure on you to keep your place looking just as good if you know what I mean.
Anyway, when it comes to renovating condominiums, one of the added benefits people always look for are the granite countertops. I have not installed them yet because I have been working on other projects, but I plan to do so at some point in the future.
What is the difference between the granite countertops and the quartz countertops? Most of what I've heard around here, most people go with granite. However, some experts say that quartz is just as strong, only the quartz also provides for much better flexibility.
The quartz countertops are actually mixed with resin, but they are mostly quartz, over 90 percent. Both options are really nice, and there are other nice countertop options, too. But, granite is king it seems when it comes to countertop renovations.
One great extra benefit about quartz is that it doesn't have to be sealed, meaning it's not a porous surface. If you're wondering about stains when it comes to quartz countertops, they are very resistant to stains.
Many of the same benefits granite can give you, quartz can give you, but again, granite still seems to rule. One con concerning granite is that the color can change throughout time, especially if there is a lot of sunlight coming through into the room often.
Granite is of course extremely heavy, which is a good thing when it comes to durability and form. You might be thinking that granite is actually heavier than quartz, but it's the other way around. One more con about a quartz countertop, however, is that there will be visible seams.
One thing you can do to decrease their visibility is to select quartz that is a dark color. Again, either countertop is considered a luxurious upgrade, so it just depends on what you prefer.
